Get ready to celebrate Summer with this no-prep pack of crafts, writing activities and more! This collection of resources is designed to be flexible, so you can easily adjust based on your grade level or students’ abilities, class time, or pair it with other end of year activities or summer books!

1.) Summer Craft Templates-Choose from three different templates (sun, pineapple, watermelon and use them for Q-tip painting, torn paper art, or doodle line designs. A “Doodle Ideas” page is also provided to give students inspiration if you choose that type of project.
2.) “Summer Senses” Anchor Chart Labels/Worksheet- Print and cut out the large colored labels for an anchor chart- leaving space under each “sense” label to record student ideas. Students can use the related worksheet to brainstorm before a group discussion or record during whole group.
3.) Writing Activities-Choose from a variety of prompts:
• “Summer Bucket List” Writing (Individual or Whole Group Activity)
• ”SUMMER” Acrostic Poem
• ”Summer Destination” Planning Sheet– Students can pick a place they want to visit (this could be as simple as a relative’s house, or a big trip like Hawaii!) Have students complete the planning sheet and use these details to write a paragraph on the summer-themed papers
• Design a Postcard – Students can design a postcard from the destination they described on their planning sheet.

4.) Jumbo “SUMMERTIME” Bulletin Board Letters

• Print on yellow/orange/pink paper and cut out for a bulletin board header and display art/writing
• Have students work in groups of 2-3 depending on your class size. Have each small group decorate one letter with words and pictures related to summer. Encourage them to draw activities, places they might visit in the summer, or summer clothing/accessories. This would be the perfect display to pair with the individual acrostic poems!
• I have included letters for ”SUMMERTIME” to give you more letter options, but you can easily just do “SUMMER” as well!
